The FPA has a new partner in promoting its annual Financial Planning Week: The Wall Street Journal. A special advertising section will run in the October 6 issue of the Journal highlighting the value of financial planning. Topics to be covered include the financial planning process, how consumers can select a planner, and financial planning issues and trends. Financial Planning Week runs from October 1-7.
The National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and DHL Express have partnered to provide NAIFA members savings up to 25% when they ship with DHL.
The American Library Association and the NASD Investor Education Foundation are working together on a new grant program called "Smart Investing At Your Library" to help public libraries provide investor education. Up to 12 grants that range in size from $5,000 to $100,000, will be given to a select group of libraries, NASD said. The program will provide objective investor education materials to the libraries, and training for librarians.
