Keep your schadenfreude in check

I've never been a Spitzer fan, even long before he became client No.9. His initial intentions as New York AG were indeed admirable, but absolute power soon corrupted him absolutely. What he did to Hank Greenberg and John Whitehead was especially egregious, and in the past year even his friends sensed something was amiss and began to step back. But the outright glee many expressed upon hearing the news was ... unseemly, to say the least. Bad karma, bad form. Granted, I've never been in the man's sights, and I've personally witnessed one industry giant with a gentlemanly reputation fly into a sputtering rage at the mere mention of Spitzer's name. But there's enough tragedy here (beginning with his three daughters) to bow our heads and pray for it to be over quickly.
