Although boomers are financially panicked, they aren't exactly basing their meaning of existence on money, according to a new Metlife Mature Market Institute study. Living the "good life" for middle-aged and older Americans is equated with spending time with family and friends, according to Metlife's report, "Discovering What Matters: Balancing Money, Medicine and Meaning." To boomers, living well means having health, a financial safety net and the time to do what is important to them.
